Best Business Idea Award |
It is the first business plans development competition in Egypt, started in October 2005 in cooperation with Business Development Services Support Project BDSSP, affiliate to the Canadian International Development Agency CIDA under the auspices of the Minster of Finance, Alexandria Governor and the Canadian Ambassador in Cairo, in a partnership according to a protocol with 14 Egyptian Universities all over Egypt and with the Egyptian Youth Federation.
The competition aims to shed light on the positive effect of Entrepreneurship on the economical development in Egypt, as well as supporting Start-ups and illustrating the importance of the culture of innovation, risk taking, motivation, teamwork spirit, and other main characteristics for business success.
The organizers declared proudly the winning of E-Bird with the National Award of the best business plan. The summery of the idea is designing software on a cell phone that receives the information sent to it and shows it written on cell phone screen using radio waves, such information could be about Stock Exchange Trading, economical or global news, commercial advertisements, and economical analysis and indicators. In addition to providing an Egyptian entrepreneur specialized in information technology field to share the first winner in implementing his idea and he has financed the project with three million Egyptian pounds. |
